When servicing the brakes on a new-generation 9-3 from 03- onwards there are lots of options on the brake sizes. First you need to find the plate like this on the door pillar then you can decode the information to find what exact brakes you need for your vehicle. The plate is also under the hood on some cars. It has more info than we need but you can save that for another project. This info applies to most Saabs from 97my onward. If you do not have the code you will need to verify by looking at the images and comparing to the car. Most of the differences can be seen obviously at the center hat to brake friction surface interface. Alternatively the way to be 100% sure without codes is to measure the disks on the vehicle.
